Chorizo Tostada

On a hot summer day, I wandered into this Bushwick taco stand.
Ordering at the Tortilleria requires writing out your desired food on little index cards and handing them over to the nice lady behind the counter. The whole thing seems little bit confusing at first, but at least the order comes out right.
Tostadas are always a problem to eat. Do you use a knife and fork? Do you use your fingers and eat it into like Godzilla biting into a flying saucer? The crispy shell cracks. Of course that crispiness is what makes it taste so good.
The atmosphere is “ramshackle chic” with just a few tables inside the shop and a handful more in an adjacent garage. But the food is good and attracts a mix of hipster trendsetters alongside local families.
