Cream Filled Donut in Ditmas Park

Donuts near Ditmas Park in Brooklny

There are few better ways to judge a neighborhood than by the deep fried dough sold in local bakeries like this cream filled donut from Ditmas Park.

Ditmas Park is an odd neighborhood in the center of brooklyn consisting largely of detached, single family Victorian style homes like any ordinary suburban town, except with subway stations every few blocks.

And then there was a bakery. Apparently I have a good eye to spot these sorts of places. These were cream filled — vanilla with a hint of lemon.
