Red Hook Lobster Roll

Nothing makes a better summer lunch than a lobster roll.
Lobster rolls are one of those fad foods that have been taking off over the last couple of summer seasons. The Red Hook Lobster Pound (out on the tip of Red Hook, duh) has one of my favorite rolls in the city.
The Connecticut Style roll is essentially the meat of a lobster bathed in butter and squeezed between a tender bun.
The Lobster Pound has a truck that roams the streets of Manhattan, but for the real thing a trip to Red Hook is required. Its no small task either given its relative isolation from transit. But unlike many other over hyped fad foods, the Red Hook lobster roll earns its reputation.
